Little Owl Pre-school
Our Aims
To provide opportunities for each child to develop physically, mentally and socially both through companionship with children of the same age and by learning and playing together in a safe and caring environment. To prepare the children for entering into the larger community of infant schooling.
Pre-school session time
The pre-school is open to all children from the age of 2 to 5 years, Monday-Friday from 9.15am-12.15pm, and we also run a lunch club on Wednesday for children age 3 & over
from 12.15pm - 1.10pm.
Staffing
The children are under the supervision of trained staff, who regularly attend Pre-school Learning Alliance training courses. There is a first-aider present at each session. The pre-school is staffed at a ratio of 1:4 for under 3 year olds and 1:8 for over 3 year olds.
Parental involvement
The pre-school is a non-profit making registered charity run by a Committee of parents in conjunction with the staff. Parents are encouraged to become committee members and help organise fund-raising events and activities outside session times. Parents are also welcome at the pre-school at anytime and are encouraged to join the ‘Helper Rota’ for one or two sessions each half-term.
Policies / Procedures
These are on display at the pre-school and a copy is available on request.
